Setting up a Netscape Mai Account

  • Start by opening Netscape Mail. When you load Netscape there should be an Envelope icon on the bottom left corner of the diplayed page. Click on that to open Netscape Mail.

  • After Netscape Mail loads, click on the Edit tab at the top of the window. Go down to Mail & Network Account Settings and click on it as shown in the following graphic.

  • In the new widow that appears, click on the Add Account button.

  • In the next window, select Email account so that the dot is in the circle to the left. Click next.

  • In the next window in the white box next to "Your Name" enter the name you wish to appear when you send mail. In the white box next to "Email Address" enter your email address. Your Email address is your UserName@emcs.net or otherwise specified. Click Next.

  • In the new window, in the white box next to "Incoming Server" enter "mail.emcs.net". In the white box next to "Outgoing Server" enter "mail.emcs.net" also. Click Next.

  • In the new window, in the white box next to "Incoming User Name" enter your User Name. Click Next.

  • In the new window, in the white box next to "Account Name" enter the name you wish to label the account as. Click Next.

  • You should now be finished setting up your email with Netscape Mail. Clcik Finish. Try accessing your mail. If it doesn't work, try this process again. If problems still persist please use the World Wide Web to better assist you or contact us at the office.
