Setting Up Outlook Express with a POP Server

• Start by clicking the Start Button, then select Outlook Express from the menu bar that appears. If Outlook Express is not a choice on the current menu bar then click All Programs and select it from the new menu bar.
  
  
• After Outlook Express is opened, click on the Tools tab at the top of the page and go down to the Accounts selection and click on it as shown below.

• A new window should have appeared. In that window select the MAIL tab.

• Then on the right side, click on the ADD button and select the MAIL option as shown on the following graphic.

• A new window should appear labeled Internet Connection Wizard. In the white box to the right of Display Name, Enter a name that you want people to see when you send e-mails. After you enter your desired name click Next.

• In the next window, in the white box enter your E-mail Address. Click Next.
• Your E-mail address is your User Name @emcs.net, or otherwise specified.

• In the next window, in the white box under where it says Incoming Mail Server type in "mail.emcs.net". In the white box under where it says Outgoing Mail Server type in "mail.emcs.net" also. At the top where it says: My incoming mail sever is a ______ server, POP3 should be selected. If not click the down arrow and choose POP3. Click Next.

• In the new window, in the white box next to Account Name, type in your User Name. In the white box next to Password, type in your password. If you wish the computer to save your password put a check in the box next to Remember Password. Click Next.

• You should have now successfully set up Outlook Express for your E-mail Account. Click Finish.

  

• Exit out of all windows displayed. Open Outlook Express once again and your e-mail should work. If your e-mail is not working try this process again. If you follow these steps and still recieve problems, please contact your local support number.
